While studying theatre at SFA, I was offered a work study position in the university's props storage. My supervisor and mentor saw my properties work from my junior college and recommended I apply. I worked in the props storage, repairing, cleaning, organizing, and supervising lab students and property rentals. My job duties also included assisting props masters for other productions as well as being a props master/design for a main stage production a year.

Angelina Arts Alliance is partnered with Angelina College and offered students the opportunity to work with professional touring companies. I have worked as overhire on productions of Cinderella, Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Barefoot in the Park, andMamma Mia!

Skills

Carpentry, Electrics, set and stage painting skills and experience, Sewing, upholstery experience, can change a diaper with one hand and half a baby wipe, can read, translate and write Latin, and several weeks experience carving dragon heads out of bead foam.

Education

Completed Bachelor of Arts Degree of Theatre in Acting and Directing with a minor in Classical Studies from Stephen F Austin State University in May of 2018. Though my degree is in acting and directing, my final project was as a props designer for SFA’s opera, The Magic Flute. During my time at SFA I acted as properties master on other main stage productions. I was also employed in the work study position, maintaining the Props Caves, which includes the supervision of rentals, assisting Props Masters of various other productions, and supervision of lab students.

Completed an Associates Degree in Theatre from Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas. During my time here, including both as a student and being a contracted costumer, I not only pursued acting, with only 15 students in the department, I worked on lighting, sound, set construction and costume designs.
